Driving in open air vehicles such as convertibles, boats, bicycles, or motorcycles to avoid airborne debris.Drinking alcohol in excess as it may lead to slow healing.Performing tasks related to heavy household cleaning such as garage or basement cleaning where there is a lot of airborne debris.Picking, peeling, or scratching the area in order to avoid scarring or removal of the pigment.Any laser or chemical treatments or peels, and/or any creams containing Retin-A or Glycol acid on the face.Increased sweating, practicing sports, swimming, hot sauna, hot bath of jacuzzi, sun tanning or salon tanning.Yes! Make sure to avoid ALL of the following for 7-10 days while healing: If you have little baby lashes and want to look like Betty Boop I promise I will work with you to achieve that in a way that is safe and healthy for your natural lashes to support for years to come! If you have big heathy natural lashes, we can put on big heathy extensions. If you want big dramatic lashes, I can achieve that as well but it will vary from person to person. Here’s my philosophy if you want natural soft looking lashes I can achieve that no problem. I see other stylists making this mistake over and over and the client suffers. It is easier to achieve a dark full look with bigger extensions but it is not always the way to go. When lashes are too heavy they stress out your natural lash leaving it weak and damaged. For others it may either be not what they are looking for (I have a lot of people that want that soft natural look) or the extensions are just flat out too heavy. One problem I see when ladies come in from other salons is the size of the extensions. Everyone has a different look they are trying to achieve and I make sure to customize every set to best fit your face, eyes, and lifestyle. I carry a large array of extensions ranging in thickness, curl, length, and even color. Some like them big, some natural, cat eye, long, thick, short etc. Every person that comes in to Luna Lash has a totally unique set. Lashes are like snowflakes- no two people are alike. They are the most fragile hair follicle on your body and damage is often irreparable. When a stylist doesn’t have enough experience and she wants to finish in a timely manner they cut corners and you end up with stuck together, twisted, damaged lashes.ĭon’t make the mistake of letting someone hurt your lashes. When the natural lashes are stuck to each other the growing or shedding lash can pull out the neighboring lash damaging the follicle- sometimes leaving permanent damage such as thinning or even bald spots! When stylist are new they are slow and often do not want to take the time to be meticulous and do things the right way. Heres where it goes south.Lashes go though 3 phases- grow, rest, shed. When stylist are new they tend to want to start making money immediately without the proper training and dedication they need. It takes a long time to get fast at doing lashes. There are some common mistakes I see from other salons. When extensions are applied with too much adhesive, are too heavy,or are left stuck to each other, the natural lash follicle is stressed. When lash extensions are applied properly they do not harm your natural lashes.
